Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar was born in a middle class family of Rajapur Saraswat Brahmins on April 24, 1973, in Mumbai. His father Ramesh Tendulkar, a Marathi novelist named him after his favourite music director Sachin Dev Burman.
Sachin has two elder brothers - Ajit Tendulkar and Nitin Tendulkar and one sister
Savitai Tendulkar.
Sachin Tendulkar married Anjali Tendulkar in 1995. Anjali Tendulkar is a pediatrician. They have two children, Sara and Arjun.
Young Sachin wanted to be a fast bowler but his height becomes a hindrance for bowling.
he was the first batsman to score 10,000 runs in one-day cricket. he is the only Indian cricketer to receive the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna. He is a current Indian cricketer who was rated by Wisden-2002 as the second greatest Test batsman ever after Sir Don Bradman.
